What is Blackberry and where did it come from?
I went to Bali with my friends from Jakarta on my last vacation and that is the first time i know how booming Blackberry in Indonesia, because all of my friends use it. The first question comes to my mind beside of course it is expensive when the first time i see Blackberry is what is it and where did it come from?so in this article i would like to give a short information.
First of all, i want to give a short explanation what is Blackberry. It is a wireless hand held devices introduced in 1999 as a two-way pager. In 2002, the more commonly known smart phone Blackberry was released, which supports push e-mail, mobile telephone, text messaging, internet faxing, web browsing and other wireless information services as well as a multi-touch interface. It is an example of a convergent device. It delivers information over the wireless data networks of mobile phone service companies. Blackberry first made headway in the marketplace by concentrating on e-mail. RIM currently offers Blackberry e-mail service to non-Blackberry devices, such as the Palm Treo, through the Blackberry Connect software. Now i will talk about my second curiosity, where did it come from? I will start giving the answer by talking about who develop Blackberry it self. Until now Blackberry developed by a company from Canada that is very different with a big company like Motorola, Nokia or Microsoft who has a big name. People is not quite familiar with the company behind Blackberry, the name of the company is Research in Motion.

A person from Yunani established it at a town names Waterloo, Canada. Pessimistic make an assumption that a big competitor will take Blackberry product down by flooding market with similar product but until the time when i make this article none of a big company like Motorola, Nokia and Microsoft can create a device that can surpass Blackberry product.
After i read several source who talk about Blacberry product i can draw a conclusion that Blackberry become a phenomenon in Indonesia because it offers an important feature for business activity and because Indonesia is very consumptive country especially when it is related to style and pride. Perhaps, the company behind Blackberry is surprised how sale able Blackberry in Indonesia.
